Why is social media so addictive? Why are you always drawn to your phone?
This is by design.
The “truth” you will see on social media is, in the words of former Facebook exec, Chamath Palihapitiya, “fake, brittle popularity” that, in the words of ex-Facebook President Sean Parker “exploits a vulnerability in human psychology”.
The “Science of Behaviour” that uses evolutionary assumptions was codified through the experiments of technocrats such as Ivan Pavlov, B. F. Skinner, and John B. Calhoun and implemented in video games and social media systems.
The idea is that you control a person’s environment, or more accurately, their perception of the environment, to modify behavior through pleasure/pain reward and punishment “conditioners.”

We must justify our existence in this techno-religion by worshiping at the altar of consumption. This is how we seek validation or “reinforcement” for our life choices.
